SRTI-BAS (Sofia, Bulgaria) and 7th secondary school “Kuzman Shapkarev” (Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria) organize a Summer School EEOBSS.
The Summer School, organized within the project EEOBSS, will be held in the period 8-12 September 2017 in 7th school “Kuzman Shapkarev” in Blagoevgrad. Students from 10th to 12th grade from all over the country will be trained how to apply modern geo-information technologies for analysis and evaluation of satellite images of the Earth.
Participants will be able to familiarize themselves with the theoretical foundations of the Earth Observation from space; GNSS technologies, GPS and Galileo; methods of pre-processing and classification of satellite images, as well as apply the methods and data from Earth Observation in the study of climate change and ecosystem services. All participants will receive certificates that are testimonial to extracurricular activities when applying in Bulgarian and foreign universities.
Students wishing to participate in the training must submit a Cover Letter in free text (in Bulgarian and English), accompanied by a recommendation from their supervisor within 30.08.2017. email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
